Corrugated board production common problems and solutions

Some problems encountered in corrugated production are mainly related to the flatness of cardboard, adhesion of cardboard, thickness of cardboard, corrugated forming, dimension accuracy of cardboard, regularity of stacking and other factors ;-)

Cardboard bonding
(1) The importance of adhesion
Reliable bonding is necessary for the formation and retention of corrugated board framework, and is also important for the final quality of corrugated carton packaging. Adhesion of bad cardboard will make other post-processing equipment blocked or stopped, resulting in a loss of production.
(2) Inspection of bonding quality
PAT method is a method to measure the bonding quality in the laboratory. In the actual production, operators on the corrugated production line generally tear the lining paper by hand to check the bonding quality of the cardboard. If the bonding is good, part of the corrugated core paper fiber should be adhered to the lining paper. If the bonding is not good, the lining paper and the corrugated core paper are completely separated.
(3) Reasons for poor adhesion
(a), single-sided machine cardboard bonding bad reasons
(1) In the cardboard side
A. Insufficient pressure between lower corrugated roll and pressure roll.
B. There is deviation in parallelism between lower corrugated roll and pressure roll
(2) In the middle of the cardboard, due to the change in the width of the cardboard corrugating roller wear in the middle, so that the supply of adhesive is insufficient.
(3) Occurs in the entire width of the board
A. The gap between the gluing roller and the scraper roller is not set properly, resulting in insufficient (too thin) adhesive film.
B. The gluing roller is too far from the lower corrugated roller.
C. The level of adhesive in the pan is too low.
D. The adhesive is of poor quality.
E. The temperature of the corrugated roll is not high enough.
F. Uneven or insufficient pressure on the pressure roller.
G. Improper adhesive coating, insufficient preheating of paper, preheater winding or insufficient temperature.
H. The paper water content is too high, the winding Angle of the preheater and the corrugated core paper preparer is not enough, or the speed of the single-sided machine is too fast.
(two), double-sided machine cardboard bonding bad reasons
(1) In the middle of the cardboard
A. The tension of single-sided corrugated board causes excessive deviation of guide roller (floating roller), resulting in insufficient adhesive coating.

B. Because of thermal expansion, the pressure between the hot plate and the cardboard is not enough, the blower can limit this problem.

C. Due to insufficient evaporation in the center of the board, the adhesive cannot be completely gelatinized, and if the temperature of the hot plate cannot increase, the only solution is to reduce the speed.
② Occurs in the entire width of the board
A. Improper adhesive coating, insufficient wrapping of preheater, insufficient belt pressure, too fast speed or too low hot plate temperature.
B. Not enough adhesive film.
C. Poor adhesive quality.

Washboard phenomenon
The so-called washboard phenomenon refers to the corrugated board, which produces concave phenomenon between the corrugated peak and the back of the corrugated peak on the surface of the paper, and its shape is like household washboard, so it is called washboard phenomenon.
(1) The root cause of corrugated board washboard phenomenon:
Mainly due to improper adhesive glue, by gathering to the impact of excess glue on both sides of the Peak. This situation is particularly prominent for low quantitative carton board paper.
(2) Specific methods to control the phenomenon of board washboard are as follows:
(1) Adjust the quantity of face paper, switch to a higher quantity of board paper is the most direct and effective way to eliminate and reduce the washboard shape (but will increase the cost);
(2) the use of high-quality adhesive can reduce the sizing of Leng Feng;
(3) Control the heating and winding surface of the face paper on the pre-heater, because the carton board paper is too dry and takes up a lot of glue, which is easy to produce washboard phenomenon;
(4) Adjust the parallelism of the sizing roller and the paper guide roller of the compound glue machine and the gap between them, strictly guide roller (press roller) pressure degree, to prevent the increase of glue after collapsing.

(1) one-sided cardboard inverted corrugating
Cause analysis:
(1) corrugating roller wear;
The upper and lower roller gap is too large;
The weight of tile paper is too large and too thick;
(4) tile paper moisture is too large;
The plasticity of tile paper without preheater is poor.
Solutions:
(1) replacement of tile roller or grinding;
② Adjust the two-watt roller gap to 0.5mm;
(3) replace tile paper;
(4) increase the preheating Angle of tile paper;
⑤ Pass the tile paper through the preheater.
(2) double-sided cardboard inverted
Reason analysis: (1) After gluing by double-sided machine, it is caused by too small gap between gluing roller and ballast roller; (2) after the dryer is inverted, the floating ballast roller on the transmission belt can not move freely up and down and pressure the corrugated deformation; (3) the amount of gluing is too large, corrugated paper absorbs a lot of moisture in the glue liquid and becomes soft, and the running direction of the dryer is one-sided; ④ Tile paper quality times.
Solution: (1) Adjust the gap between the double-sided machine, the ballast roller and the rubber roller to slightly less than 0.2mm single-sided cardboard, single-sided cardboard longitudinal plug between the ballast roller and the rubber roller, can be inserted freely and drive the roller to rotate corrugated without deformation is better; (2) Adjust the float roller on the conveyor belt of the dryer to move freely; (3) reduce the amount of glue to evenly distribute corrugated peak, and not flow into the tile ditch is appropriate; Replace the tile paper.

crinkle
(1) Paper crease
Cause analysis:
The thickness of tile paper is uneven;
(2) input corrugated machine directly without preheating;
(3) the two ends of the tile paper brake is inconsistent;
(4) moisture imbalance of tile paper;
The guide roll is not parallel.
Solutions:
(1) replace tile paper;
The tile paper through the preheater;
(3) adjust tile paper brake balance;
④ Increase the preheating area of tile paper or replace tile paper;
⑤ Correction of paper guide roller.
(2) the face paper is wrinkled
Cause analysis:
The guide roll is not parallel;
The paper inlet of the dryer is skewed;
(3) moisture imbalance of tile paper;
(4) the tension at both ends of the tile paper is not balanced.
Solutions:
Calibration of paper guide roller;
② Correct the paper inlet of the dryer;
③ increase the preheating area of tile paper;
Replace the tile paper.
(3) corrugated tile paper
Reason folding: tile paper at both ends of the strength, moisture, uneven thickness, brake insufficient.
Solution: adjust the preheating area, tighten the brake valve or turn over the tile paper for use, if there is still wrinkling phenomenon, can replace the tile paper.

blister
(1) Blistering of lining paper
Cause analysis:
(1) the tile paper is not preheated enough;
② Insufficient brake tension of surface paper;
The preheating cylinder temperature is insufficient when starting
(4) pressure roller wear or not parallel;
(5) it is difficult for the rubber roller to wear locally or there are foreign bodies sandwiched between the rubber roller and the adjusting roller;
⑥ Part of the corrugated roller suction groove is blocked, and the guide board is worn.
Solutions:
Increase the preheating area of tile paper;
Tightening brake valve;
(3) Wait until the temperature rises to 180℃, and then restart the paper;
(4) Replace the grinding pressure roller or adjust to parallel;
(5) replace the rubber coating roller, remove the sundries between the rubber coating roller and the adjusting roller;
Clean the corrugated roller suction groove and replace the guide paper.
(2) foaming of face paper
Cause analysis:
(1) tile paper moisture imbalance;
② The surface paper is directly input into the dryer without the preheater;
(3) the viscosity of glue is not enough;
④ There are paper scraps and rubber blocks between the rubber coating roller and the adjusting roller;
The rubber roller is not parallel or worn.
Solutions:
(1) replace tile paper;
② The surface paper through the preheater and adjust the preheating area appropriately;
(3) increase the viscosity of the glue;
(4) remove the foreign body rubber block between the rubber coating roller and the adjusting roller;
(5) correction of rubber roller or replacement.

Corrugated crushing
(1) single-sided cardboard corrugated crushing
Cause analysis:
(1) Pressure roller is too high;
(2) tile paper fiber is short, no toughness, poor quality;
The upper and lower two watt roller gap is too small;
(4) the preheating area is too large, the paper serious water loss;
The temperature of corrugated roll is too high;
(6) corrugated roller in high serious wear, pressure roller after lifting; The force of tile paper is not balanced, resulting in excessive pressure at both ends of the single tile roll causing corrugating damage.
Solutions:
(1) appropriately reduce the pressure of the pressure roller;
Replace tile paper;
③ Correction of corrugating roller gap;
④ Reduce the preheating area;
⑤ Lower the temperature of the corrugated roll to 160℃ and then start the machine;
⑥ Replace or grind corrugated roll.
(2) Corrugated crushing after double-sided machine
Cause analysis:
(1) Burrs on the surface of the paper guide roller or multiple preheater cylinder of the bridge cause mechanical scratches;
② The transmission belt buckle of the bridge to the single-side machine is broken.
Solutions:
(1) Check that there is a burr that leads to corrugations, and polish it smooth with sandpaper or board file;
② Replace the buckle and reconnect it.

Pressing line crease uneven and uneven depth
Cause analysis:
The pressure line is too shallow;
② Pressure line regulation device failure;
(3) pressure wheel deformation;
④ The pressure line CAM wear is serious, the production did not consider the degree of wear, still according to the conventional operation.
Solutions:
(1) The deep pressing line to the inside of the paper is not broken and the pressing line is clear and straight after folding.
(2) correct and maintain the pressure line adjustment device to normal;
(3) replace the press wheel;
④ The degree of optic pressure line is moderately deep adjustment.

Longitudinal cutting burrs
Cause analysis:
① The paper knife has been blunt or the blade has a gap;
② The upper and lower knife occlusal is too deep;
③ There is a gap between the upper and lower knives.
Method of perception:
Polish or replace a new knife;
Adjust the upper and lower knife overlap to the best state;
Close the upper and lower knives, turn the knife wheel by hand, flexible and not hurt the knife is advisable.

Crosscut cardboard trailing
Cause analysis:
The horizontal knife has been blunt;
(2) The upper and lower two pieces of crosscutting knife occlusion is not right, the part of cardboard cutting constantly under the action of mechanical force with torn surface tile paper;
③ Improper instantaneous acceleration adjustment of crosscutting machine causes paper blocking.
Solutions:
(1) change the knife, grinding;
② Correct the position of the next two knives;
③ According to the length of the board, adjust the instantaneous acceleration correctly.

Cardboard soft
Cause analysis:
① The content of NaOH in the glue is too large;
(2) The stacking overlap of the offline cardboard is too high, and the water vapor in the cardboard is not fully distributed;
(3) The temperature and humidity of cardboard storage environment is too high;
(4) the temperature of the dryer is lower than 180℃ and the speed of the car is too fast, and the low temperature environment causes the illusion of drying, and the corrugating becomes soft after stacking, so the strength of the cardboard is reduced.
Solutions:
(1) adjust the amount of alkali used in glue solution appropriately;
(2) Use well shape stacking, stacking height is not more than 1.5m is appropriate, when necessary, air blower can be used for forced ventilation to disperse water vapor in the cardboard;
③ Open Windows to store cardboard in the warehouse for ventilation and cooling, remove lime powder moisture absorption on the site;
④ According to the amount of glue, paper, dryer temperature, in the case of ensuring the quality of cardboard flexible control of the speed.

Board edge unglued
(1) The edge of the paper is unglued
Cause analysis:
(1) the rubber roller with dirty is not in place;
② Rubber plate vibration dissociation;
The temperature at both ends of the tile roller is insufficient or too high. The low temperature makes the glue liquid not gelatinized immediately after the corrugated coating, and the moisture quickly penetrates into the tile paper, leaving the starch imprint. The high temperature corrugated coating quickly popes the glue to lose viscosity.

Solutions:
(1) Properly open the rubber valve, increase the flow of glue;
② Correction fixed rubber plate;
(3) Increase the temperature of the corrugated roller, dip your finger in the water and hit the roller, and the water drops will evaporate in two or three seconds. If the temperature is too high, the brush can be applied to both ends of the tile roll with oil, and the evaporating lampblack takes away part of the corrugating heat, which can achieve the purpose of cooling down.
(2) the edge of the surface paper is unglued
Analysis:
(1) the rubber roller with glue is not in place;
(2) Dryer conveyor belt deviation, cardboard edge compression is not in place;
The hot plate temperature on both sides of the dryer is insufficient.
The solution
(1) Fill the rubber box with the glue solution, so that the rubber roller is fully immersed in the glue solution;
(2) Timely correction, so that the transmission belt is correct in place;
③ After the hot plate temperature of the dryer is balanced and stable, start it again.

Lack of material the dew
(1) Paper lowa
Cause analysis: (1) the lining paper is not aligned; (2) paper preheating shrinkage; (3) paper width is insufficient; The flying edge is too little.
Solution: (1) move the shaftless bracket around until the cardboard is aligned; ②③④ Replace the tile paper.
(2) Face paper Lova
Reason analysis: (1) face paper width is not enough; (2) tile water content is too high, too much shrinkage after preheating; ③ The surface paper is not aligned with each layer of single-sided corrugated board.
Solution: Lowa method of tongli paper.
(3) the shortage of tile paper
Reason analysis: (1) tile paper narrow in the paper; (2) the paper clamp on the bridge will scrape off the edge of the single-sided cardboard; (3) the edge of tile paper is uneven.
Solution: (1) replace tile paper: (2) moderate adjustment of paper clamping device, with single-sided cardboard does not swing around, and can be smoothly through the appropriate; ③ Adjust the paper clamp plate, and align the single paper, board and surface paper.

The cutting length is unstable
Cause analysis:
The drying machine speed is not stable;
(2) There is paper wool or damage to gears and bearings between gears of transverse cutter;
(3) overpass single-sided cardboard running resistance is too large;
The surface paper brake tension is too large;
The dryer transmission belt skid;
The meshing gap of crosscutting stepless gear is too large or the rotation chain is aging and slack.
The crosscutting control program is chaotic and interfered by strong magnetic field.

Solutions:
(1) Check whether the main motor of the dryer is missing phase, whether the voltage is stable, and whether the bearing is damaged;
(2) Remove the paper scraps between the rotating gears of the root cutter and replace the gear bearing;
(3) Add lubricating oil or replace bearings for the inflexible rotation of the paper guide roller of the bridge, and properly adjust and control the vacuum adsorption air volume of the tension of single-sided cardboard;
④ Reduce the surface paper braking force;
(5) Often clean the conveyor belt of the dryer, and keep the hot plate of the dryer clean, the phenomenon of transmission belt slipping in production can be alleviated by spraying a small amount of water on it, pay attention to avoid not feeding paper to dry the dryer idling, so as to reduce the direct friction between the transmission belt and the hot plate, otherwise the rough surface of the transmission belt is worn out, which is easy to cause the phenomenon of slipping;
(6) Correct the gap between the continuously variable gears, replace the new chain or properly adjust the chain, tighten the device;
Eliminate strong magnetic field interference.

A large number of black spots appear on the board surface paper
Cause analysis: the face paper contains plastic components, tile paper in the heating process, small plastic melting that is different sizes of black spots.
Solution: because of the above phenomenon, the base paper is very difficult to detect without use, should choose a good reputation of the brand face paper.

Glossy paper stare blankly
Cause analysis:
(1) too much glue;
② The paper is too thin.
Solutions:
(1) Surface paper thickness, speed, temperature appropriate amount of glue;
② Reduce the amount of glue can not be solved, replace tile paper.

Inside paper transverse crease
Cause analysis:
① Overpass caused by excessive single-sided cardboard accumulation;
② Single-sided cardboard tension is too small;
The height and position of the paper holder after the slitting machine are inappropriate.
Solutions:
(1) minimize the accumulation of single-sided cardboard on the bridge, to avoid excessive extrusion caused rhyme crease;
(2) Adjust the tension of single-sided cardboard on the bridge to crease disappear.
③ The adjustment of the height of the slitting paper holder depends on the Angle of the slitting cardboard sent to the crosscutting machine, as long as there is no cardboard crease in the supporting paper holder part.

The paper in the cardboard is lined with a peanut shell
Cause analysis: the paper quantity is lower than 150g, and the rice grain size pits appear when pressed by the conveyor belt of the dryer.
Solution: improve the solid content of glue and reduce the amount of glue; Switch to a paper with a lower surface absorbent or a higher weight.

Surface scratch paper
Cause analysis:
(1) scratch when making base paper;
(2) the preheater is caused by burr;
③ There are foreign bodies such as rubber residue and paper scraps on the hot plate of the dryer, which scratches the surface paper;
(4) the cardboard tray after the dryer burrs or hard objects scratch;
⑤ Part of transfer belt buckle of stacker cracked.
Solutions:
(1) replace tile paper;
② Polishing preheater;
(3) Remove hot plate foreign body;
(4) remove foreign bodies and burr;
⑤ Replace the belt buckle or knock the buckle flat.

White card board yellow
Cause analysis: the speed of the dryer is too slow, the temperature of the hot plate is too high, the white card paper is excessively baked, and the amount of glue liquid alkali is too heavy.
Solution: improve the speed of the dryer, reduce the residence time of the white card board in the dryer, and appropriately reduce the amount of alkali used in the glue.

Automatic stacking machine does not stack paper evenly
Cause analysis:
① The paper pile is not smooth;
② Board edge thickness loss;
③ Because of overspeed cutting so that the cardboard from the cutter was tilted out, a piece of static, can not be piled up well;
(4) cardboard stacking slope, so can not be very good stacking;
⑤ When the cardboard is put on the pile, the cardboard movement fails to align;
⑥ Cardboard can not spring back to the pile before the stop device.
Solutions:
(1) install a roller brake system, when the accumulation began to tilt, so that the cardboard thrown from the knife tilt straight road
(2) when removing the paper pile, allow a long section of cardboard from the pile;
(3) reduce the distance of cardboard falling to the pile as far as possible, and provide a system with cardboard falling process cabinet;
(4) keep the cardboard right to the front stop;
